A far away place,

But still close to my heart.

The orange glow of the afternoon sun

Breaking through the leaves.

A light at the end of a tunnel,

Leading me to a whole new world.

The chime of cowbells echoes

From nearby fields

And the birds chirping above

Dancing to their own melodies.

With snow capped mountains above

And a glass lake below,

The sun dances over the horizon.

The remains of a blazing fire,

A memory of a peaceful night under the stars.

Sweet marshmallows and chocolate melting on my tongue

And music flowing through the woods

As people dance around the flames.

A place

Where one’s spirit can run wild

And one’s true self can shine through.
