My feet sink into the soft white sand,
My toes barely touch the surface
Of the remains of the soaring waves.
I hear the crash of the water,
And see the waves
Like hands reaching and climbing up the beach.
The salty air heightens my senses,
And only on this long summer evening,
I can see the vibrant colors
Still draped throughout the sky.
The endless range of color-
From pink to orange and violet to red,
Stained in the sky like watercolors on a canvas.
And in this moment of pure bliss,
I feel free.
