Jeremy Bernier // THE DAYS GO BY

One

by one

The days

are speeding by,

flashing before me

Each day longer than the last

I’m living life, and taking my time

But I can’t seem to grasp the meaning of it

So much work to do; so little time to live like I want to

Soon I’ll be twenty, and thirty, and the days become years

Flashing once again, dashing before my eyes before I can take a good look

Once I get a good glance at where I am, I can feel myself getting weaker

I’m focused on making it through each hour

My vision is lacking, but more important

I think I’m forgetting the next line

To this great long poem about

life, and how you need

to appreciate every

moment before

it is gone.
