The wet morning dew clings to my wings,
As the thick blankets of fog roll through.
The glassy water breaks as I take flight,
And the other animals begin to stir.
The lobster boats begin to churn my home,
And the morning chill shifts to afternoon heat.
As a powerful breeze lifts the fog,
I am joined by my companions in the air.
The waves begin to crash,
And the tranquility is broken.
Eventually, the day comes to a close.
The last rays of sunlight disappear into the ocean,
The stars come out,
And I land back into the sea.
The night is silent,
And everything is at peace.
