The plane bolted across the evening sky

But inside it felt stagnant

Floating in a separate galaxy

And gliding through time zones

The fiery sunset descended down to Earth

Painting a garish picture on the way down

At the same time

Casting a dark, towering shadow over Earth

And passing by the tiny “ants”

Driving to work, or going to school

As I looked through the window, and below

I saw for myself

I really was just a speck

On a vast, diverse planet
