An entire world resting in the palm of my hand
Seemingly abandoned, or destroyed.
Absolutely still.
What was once a fast flowing river,
Now a vacant canyon, dry as the Arizona desert, cutting through the landscape.
It used to be thick, green plant life surfacing the planet
Now nothing but dead leaves–crushed, stuck to the surface, rough to the touch.
In the past, a home to many.
Action-packed,
Exciting,
Thrilling,
Alive.
Now, I gaze in deep, somber thought at this lonely planet
Wondering how it all went wrong.
