I stand on my bare feet
Sand crawling over my toes.
Droplets of water from the waves trickle onto my skin;
My skin sizzling from the beating sun above.
The warm breeze runs through my hair.
The sounds of laughter and splashes of the waves
Seagulls squawking and children laughing.
The water is a crystal blue and the sky is cloudless;
The sand is white and covered in footsteps;
The waves crash into the sand full of rage.
The air smells salty and fresh
Rejuvenating and refreshing.
Water slips into my mouth.
The saltiness is pure and bitter;
My teeth feel gravelly with bits of sand.
One would wish to stand here forever
And look off into the vast, endless horizon
